Darcy who burst onto the scene last year dropping his debut EP Hooked, has played a number of notable venues and festivals this year and has received acclaim from the likes of Bob Harris who has invited him to perform an Under The Apple Tree sessions.
Darcy, who was previously a tennis coach at the ISP Academy in Nice, France and who was ranked in the top 40 British tennis players, grew up in the entertainment industry. He has been writing music and playing piano since age 5 and picked up the guitar at age 16. Whilst living and working in France, Darcy set up a covers band and has been performing to large audiences since then. Since setting up the band they have gone from strength to strength and have been at the forefront of the UK Country scene playing festivals such as Buckle and Boots and FSA Fest. There he captivated audiences with his warm, powerful vocals and rousing Country anthems. He’s played in venues all over the UK such as Gullivers and The Soup Kitchen in Manchester to The Slade Rooms in Wolverhampton. He’s even performed Pop-up shows at Swinging Doors and Whiskey Bent in Nashville, Tennessee where he recorded his EP.
