Vic Allen is a singer-songwriter originating from Norwich. She first picked up the guitar as a teenager and started to write her own songs after falling in love with country music on a trip to the US. She began to perform her original material at open mics in her university city of Bristol, and quickly progressed onto larger venues such as The Fleece and Bristol Harbourfest. Since graduating from Bristol with a degree in Zoology, Vic has been performing across the UK, including London venues such as The Spice of Life and The Bedford. In the summer of 2016 she took a trip to Nashville to focus on her music and network with other musicians. Highlights included busking on Broadway and playing at the famous Bluebird Café.
In October 2016 she independently released her debut EP, “The Missing Piece”, produced by Sam McCune. “The Missing Piece” is available on Spotify and iTunes and has received some extremely positive feedback, including from BBC Introducing, who have played several of the tracks on their Norfolk show and invited Vic to play a live set on Radio Norfolk. Tracks from the EP have also been played on BBC Radio Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Essex, Future Radio and Bradley Stoke Radio.
After a busy year of gigging, recording, the release of her EP and her visit to Nashville, Vic is ready to move onto bigger things with her music in 2017.
